The "Olympic Day Run" GREECE is the only Olympic Running Race in Greece and is organized by the Hellenic Olympic Committee, the International Olympic Academy, Hellenic Olympians Association, the Thessaloniki Olympic Museum, the Hellenic Athletics Association, the ''OLYMPiA' and the local Municipalities, as part of the initiative of the International Olympic Committee to honor the revival of the Olympic Games in their birthplace.
Since 2018 and every year, Olympic and Paralympic medalists, as well as representatives of the international and Greek Olympic institutions join the supreme running event with top runners and active citizens of the world, in order to raise Greece even higher on the global Olympic and sporting map.
The Thessaloniki Olympic Museum - founding member of the World Network of Olympic Museums and official body for the promotion of the global Olympic heritage and Olympism as a philosophy and way of life - is the responsible body for the planning and implementation of the celebration in Greece, as well as the headquarters of the mega sport event / Olympic running Race.
